What our content is based on
We rely on ICD-10 and ICD-11, the clinical protocols of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Health, WHO recommendations and NICE guidelines. We never publish invented figures, testimonials or unproven methods.
Honest about methods
Coding, chemical protection, implants and blockades are described as part of comprehensive treatment, with contraindications and limitations. We never promise a “guaranteed result for life”.
Online and home visits
Every page states what can be handled by phone or video and what needs a home visit, an examination, tests or inpatient care.
Updates
Content is reviewed when clinical guidelines or legislation change. The date of the last review is shown on every page.
Limitations
Information on this website is for reference only and does not replace a doctor's consultation. We do not give medication doses or advice on self-treatment.

24/7 really means 24/7
A binge, withdrawal or acute psychosis won't wait until Monday morning. Narcology 24 addiction doctors and psychiatrists on duty make visits at night, at weekends and on holidays. In a few minutes the dispatcher will work out whether help at home is possible or inpatient care is needed — and tell you honestly straight away.
The doctor arrives with equipment, medication and portable devices, examines the person first and only then starts treatment. We follow the clinical protocols of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Health and international guidelines — no “miracle methods”, hidden extras or promises of a “cure in one day”.
More than relieving the acute state
An IV drip treats the effects of a binge, not the addiction itself. So after a home visit we offer the next step: an addiction doctor consultation, coding after assessment, psychotherapy, rehab or online follow-up. The decision is always the patient's.
If addiction comes with depression, anxiety or another mental health condition, a psychiatrist joins the treatment. Dual diagnosis is a common cause of relapse and needs to be treated at the same time, not one after the other.
Confidential and respectful
A first name is enough to call us. We don't put anyone on a registry or inform employers or neighbours; the doctor can come in ordinary clothes in an unmarked car. Information is protected by medical confidentiality under the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Public Health and the Healthcare System”.
We support families too: how to talk to your loved one, what not to do, how to look after yourself. in Kazakhstan you can get a family consultation even if the person isn't ready for treatment yet.

Questions and answers
How quickly can an addiction doctor arrive in Kazakhstan?
We visit 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Travel time depends on the district and traffic — usually within an hour. The dispatcher will give you an estimate when you call.
How much does home alcohol detox cost?
Home alcohol detox starts from 15 000 ₸, an online addiction doctor consultation from 10 000 ₸ and a psychiatrist from 15 000 ₸. The exact cost depends on the person's condition and is agreed before treatment. Phone advice is free.
Is it confidential? Will I be put on a registry?
Yes. Your first name is enough. Information is protected by medical confidentiality and is not shared with employers, the police or third parties except where expressly required by the law of Kazakhstan. Paid confidential treatment does not mean a registry entry.
Can I call a doctor if the person doesn't want treatment?
Treatment is only given with the patient's consent. A doctor can come, talk and assess the situation, and advise the family on how to motivate the person. Involuntary care is only possible under the procedure set by law; if life is at risk, call 103.
When is inpatient care needed instead of a home visit?
For long binges with severe withdrawal, seizures, hallucinations, serious heart or liver disease or diabetes, or if nobody can stay with the person at home. The doctor will tell you during the examination or even over the phone.
What should I do in an emergency?
For seizures, loss of consciousness, confusion, chest pain, vomiting blood, suspected overdose or any threat to life, call 103 or 112 immediately. Then contact us for further treatment.
